All of the alpine tricks were employed. Some delightful mixed climbing, stellar ice pitches, a touch of wallowing, a few bush hooks, and plenty of smiles.

Summit succes on Ama Dablam! Report form the crew👇🏻👇🏻
“Summit day started cold and clear after little to no sleep in our tiny camp 2 nestled on a rocky precipice. Climbed up and into the gray tower couloir of mostly rock. Once we progressed to the mushroom ridge. The winds kicked up to a constant 15mph with 25mph gusts in our faces. We took a very short break at camp 2.5 then began up a series of steep neve slopes, wishing for the daylight. It wasn’t until we created the summit when the east sunlight hit us at about 7:30. We were elated. High fives were had and smiles were big. Another 360 view of the Himalayan celebrities staring us in the face: Cho Oyu, Makalu, Cholatse, Pumori, Lhotse, and of course Chomolungma (aka Everest). 14 hours camp to camp with an overnight at camp 1 before heading downhill where the air is thicker and lush greenery awaits. We stopped in Pangboche at the oldest momentary in the khumbu founded in the 16th century where a high lama gave us a sungdi or blessing for safe return home. Tonight we celebrate and rest in Namche in hopes of a flight back to ktm tomorrow. Still a long way from home but spirits are high and hearts are full. Much love to family and friends back home!”
